Q: What is Toowist?
A: Toowist is website that offers free access to online travel guides covering the whole world. You can create guides about anywhere on the planet - e.g. an entire city guide or perhaps just the town/village where you live. Toowist will automatically add in maps for - however you can add in photos and videos to make the page more interesting to visitors.

Q: How much does it cost to join Toowist?
A:Nothing, Toowist will never charge you to join - it is totally free to join and there is no charge to use it - on the contrary you actually make money from Toowist.

Q: How do I make money from Toowist?
A: Firstly you must be a member (which is free) - then you create a page (you can have as many pages as you wish) - when someone visits your page they can rate it - and when anyone clicks on an advert or makes a booking (car hire, hotel or flight reservation) through your page - you get paid - Toowist handles all the advertising for you and of course works out how much you have earned.

Q: What content can I put up on Toowist?
A: Toowist pages belong to the members so you are only limited by your imagination, tourism is the largest industry in the world and tourism has so many sub categories e.g. eco tourism, religious tourism, sport tourism, medical tourism - the list is endless - so feel free to be as creative as you wish. You can post picture/stories/videos from your latest vacation or if you do not travel much perhaps just some information on where you live. Remember the pages that receive the most votes will rise to the top and thus gets most hits and therefore earn most money - so it is in your interest to create good, clean, relevant content. There are some rules please do not post copyright material and do no post offensive/inappropriate/objectionable material.

Q: When does Toowist go live?
A: The clever guys are working away in the backgroud as you read this and Toowist is planning to go live in late 2008/early 2009 - so get those vacation pictures and videos ready for the big launch. We have received a lot of interest from people ready to contribute - if you want to do so and get informed of the launch when it happens please click on the 'Register' section of the website.

Q: Can I adveritise with Toowist?
A: Yes, you can advetise as a Pay Per Click provider - this is much like othe Pay Per Click schemes - where you get charged when Toowist visitors click on one of your adverts. Unlike other websites that offer Pay Per Click, Toowist offers very highly focused/targeted advetising allowing a much greater return on your advertising investment.
